Metrix Online Learning
Metrix
We offer free, accredited training options for you through the Metrix online learning platform. Metrix provides unlimited access to more than 5,000 Skillsoft courses used by many Fortune 500 companies. It is designed to evaluate your skills, get training and search for jobs. Courses are broken into 30 to 60 minute modules and are available in English or Spanish. Courses include:

- Microsoft Office
- Analytical Skills
- Data Management and Reporting
- Time Management
- Leadership Skills
- Health and Safety
- And many more skill tracks

The North Texas Works program (also known as WIOA) is designed to help job seekers secure the education, training and support necessary to succeed in the workforce while providing skilled workers to match local employer needs.
Work Experience and On-the-Job Training
- Partner with worksites to receive a quality hands-on training experience
- Opportunities for career exploration and skills development
College and Vocational Training

Who qualifies?
- Youth age 16-24 with a barrier to employment
- Dislocated Worker who has been laid off or is receiving unemployment and unlikely to return to the previous industry or occupation
- Adult individual receiving public assistance or within federal guidelines for low income

PATHs for Texas
Pursuit of Advanced Training in High-Demand Skills
Workforce Solutions North Texas joined with other Workforce Development Boards across the state to expand the training opportunities for Texans working in the growing retail industry. PATHs for Texas enables employees in North Texas counties of Archer, Baylor, Clay, Cottle, Foard, Hardeman, Jack, Montague, Wichita, Wilbarger, and Young Counties to receive industry-recognized training at no cost to the employer. Strong nominees are those who demonstrate growth potential in the industry and a commitment to excellence.

Skills Development COVID-19 Special Initiative
This opportunity is to meet the training needs of local businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Who qualifies?
- Employers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic or meeting demands of the COVID-19 pandemic (e.g. producing PPE, producing toilet paper, providing delivery services, etc.)
- Unemployed Workers can train in a high-demand field that meets the demands of the COVID-19 pandemic
For example, the healthcare industry was a growing field prior to the pandemic. There is an even greater need now for trained healthcare workers.
If you live in the counties of Archer, Baylor, Clay, Cottle, Foard, Hardeman, Jack, Montague, Wichita, Wilbarger, or Young, then contact your local community college* today to enroll in their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.

We’re offering a free workshop series that was designed to teach self-development in your journey to secure employment and become a more efficient employee. The workshops we have available are:
- Job Readiness | Monday through Friday | 9 AM to 11:30 AM
- Interview Skills | Thursday | 10 AM to 11:30 AM
- Resume Creation | Thursday | 1 PM to 3:30 PM
