Workforce Solutions North Texas Child Care Services is a federally funded program that affords some relief from the high cost of quality child care. The Texas Workforce Commission is the state agency that oversees Workforce Solutions North Texas.
Our program offers a network of quality child care facilities throughout the North Texas service area.

Child Care Services (CCS) Overview
The Child Care Services (CCS) program helps eligible Texas families pay for child care with scholarships so families can go to work, search for work, and attend school or job training.
There are basic eligibility requirements for the CCS program that include:

Eligible CCS Program Providers

Families requesting a transfer from one child care provider to another must begin the process at least two weeks in advance. For more information about CCS program provider transfers, click here.
It’s important for all children in the CCS program to regularly attend and report attendance. All CCS providers have attendance rules. For more information, click here.
Temporary Child Care Assistance Available For Job Seekers
Child Care Services are available to parents who do not meet the minimum work hours required for child care eligibility but who need child care in order to search for work that will meet the minimum employment activity requirements. Parents will be given three months of initial eligibility for child care in order to obtain employment of a minimum of 25 hours per week for a single-parent family and a combined 50 hours per week for a two-parent family. If at the end of the three months of initial eligibility you still do not meet the minimum employment activity requirements as stated above, care will be denied.

There is currently a CCS program waitlist. Waiting times vary but generally range from six months to a year. Families are pulled from the CCS program waitlist every week during open enrollment.

Our team is available to serve you by phone, email and online whenever possible, but in-person meetings will be conducted as needed. We are open Monday-Friday, from 8AM to 5PM.
