Henrietta’s Story: Nursing

Henrietta came to North Texas Works seeking help in obtaining her RN license. She migrated to the United States from Africa and quickly learned that nursing was her passion.

Through training at Vernon College, Henrietta earned her Registered Nurse license in June 2022. She started working at Texhoma Christian Care Center in August 2022 making $36/hr.

With the help of the North Texas Works program, Henrietta graduated LOAN-FREE! She said, “Thank you to every member of the WIOA team, it would have been really difficult for me financially. I would recommend this program for anyone needing financial assistance with school.”
