Workforce Solutions North Texas proudly serves the 11 counties of North Texas including Archer, Baylor, Clay, Cottle, Foard, Hardeman, Jack, Montague, Wichita, Wilbarger, and Young. A variety of training services serve both job seekers and employers. By providing you with training, we are able to help you become a competitive job seeker while providing employers with a broad selection of ready-trained job candidates.

North Texas Works (WIOA - Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act)

The North Texas Works program (also known as WIOA) is designed to help job seekers secure the education, training and support necessary to succeed in the workforce while providing skilled workers to match local employer needs.

Work Experience and On-the-Job Training

Partner with worksites to receive a quality hands-on training experience
Opportunities for career exploration and skills development

College and Vocational Training
You may be eligible for a full or partially funded college experience. Contact us today for an appointment to see if you qualify!

Who qualifies?

Youth aged 16-24 with a barrier to employment
Dislocated Worker who has been laid off or is receiving unemployment and is unlikely to return to the previous industry or occupation
Adult individuals receiving public assistance or within federal guidelines for low income

We’re offering a free workshop series that was designed to teach self-development in your journey to secure employment and become a more efficient employee. The workshops we have available are:

Setting SMART Goals | Tuesday | 9 AM to 11:30 AM
Financial Empowerment | Wednesday | 9 AM to 11:30 AM
Interviewing | Thursday | 9 AM to 11:30 AM
Resume Creation| Thursday | 1 PM to 3:30 PM
Mastering Soft Skills | Friday | 9 AM to 11:30 AM

Job Corps

Job Corps is the nation’s largest free, residential career training and education program for low-income young adults ages 16 through 24.

Eligibility

Jobs Corps students are generally:

are 16 through 24 years old
are low-income individuals
meet citizenship, residency, or other approved status requirements
meet background requirements
are ready and motivated to succeed
